He tries his hand at the "Veritas Salad" challenge, which requires him to finish a massive bowl of salad with over 20 different vegetables, fruits, and toppings, all within 20 minutes.
Casey's next stop is at the famous "Husk" restaurant, known for its farm-to-table cuisine and sophisticated Southern cooking. Here, he takes on the "Husk Hot Chicken" challenge, which consists of eating a plate full of spicy fried chicken along with a variety of sides that include cornbread, coleslaw, and pickles.
Finally, Casey heads to the "Tamashii Ramen" restaurant to take on the "Yokai Ramen Challenge." This challenge requires him to finish an enormous bowl of ramen that contains over 10 different ingredients, including pork belly, soft-boiled eggs, and bamboo shoots. To complete the challenge, Casey needs to finish the entire bowl of ramen, along with an order of gyoza and a glass of water, in under 30 minutes.
Throughout the episode, viewers see Casey struggle with the immense food challenges that he takes on, but also his appreciation for the food and culture of Charleston. He meets with locals and restaurant owners who share their passion for the city's cuisine and its long history of soulful cooking.
