Man v. Food is a popular television series that features presenter Adam Richman travelling across the United States in search of the most delicious and gigantic food challenges. In season 4 episode 15, Adam travels to Harlem, New York, to take on some of the borough's famous eats and to see if he can conquer the food challenges that the neighborhood has to offer.

The episode starts with Adam visiting Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, a famous barbecue joint located in Harlem. Here, Adam meets with pitmaster John Stage, who takes him on a tour of the restaurant and introduces him to some of their delicious smoked meats. Adam then proceeds to take on the restaurant's Big Ass Pork Plate, which includes a massive amount of pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and sides. This platter is so big that it's meant to feed a group of people, but Adam takes on the challenge all by himself.

Next, Adam visits Amy Ruth's, a soul food restaurant that's famous for their Chicken and Waffles dish. Here, he meets with the owner, Carl Redding, who talks to him about the restaurant's history and its connection to the local community. Adam then takes on the challenge of eating two massive plates of Chicken and Waffles, each piled high with crispy fried chicken and buttery waffles. This challenge tests his limits, but he manages to finish both plates with some help from the friendly staff at Amy Ruth's.

In the next segment, Adam heads to Patsy's Pizzeria, a famous pizzeria that's been serving up their signature coal-fired thin crust pizzas since 1933. Here, he meets with Frank Brija, the owner of the restaurant, who shows him how they make their delicious pies. Adam then takes on the "Tower of Pizza" challenge, which involves finishing off a massive pizza that's piled high with toppings like sausage, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and more. This pizza is so big that it takes up an entire table, but Adam manages to finish it all on his own.

After his pizza challenge, Adam heads to Mama's Fried Chicken and Pizza, a local joint that's famous for their fried chicken and pizza combos. Here, he meets with the owner, Mama herself, who tells him about her secret recipe for cooking the perfect fried chicken. Adam then takes on the challenge of eating a massive plate of fried chicken, pizza, and mac and cheese, all piled onto one plate. This challenge pushes his limits, but he manages to finish it all, impressing the staff at Mama's.

Finally, Adam heads to The Red Rooster, a famous Harlem restaurant that's known for its innovative take on Southern-style cuisine. Here, he meets with the restaurant's owner, chef Marcus Samuelsson, who takes him on a tour of the restaurant and introduces him to some of their signature dishes. Adam then takes on the challenge of eating Marcus's famous "Cornbread and Fried Chicken" dish, which combines crispy fried chicken with a savory cornbread waffle. This challenge tests his limits, but he manages to finish it all, impressing Marcus and the rest of the staff at The Red Rooster.
