Ep 11. Boise, ID

In season 4, episode 11 of Man v. Food, host Adam Richman travels to Boise, ID to take on some of the city's biggest food challenges. Adam begins his journey at Big Jud's, a local burger joint known for their massive "Big Jud" burger. The challenge is to eat the burger, which consists of two beef patties, eight slices of cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions, along with a pound of fries and a 32-ounce drink, in under 30 minutes. Adam is up for the challenge and digs in, but will he be able to finish it in time?

Next up, Adam heads to Pie Hole, a pizza shop that specializes in unique and unconventional pizza toppings. Adam tries the "Flying Pie," a pizza topped with bacon, Canadian bacon, sausage, pepperoni, and beef, as well as mushrooms, onions, black olives, green peppers, and jalapenos. But the real challenge is the "Stuffed Pie," a deep dish pizza filled with three pounds of ingredients, including meat, vegetables, and cheese. Can Adam conquer this massive pizza?

Adam's next stop is at the Westside Drive-In, a diner known for their famous "Ice Cream Potato." This dessert is made by scooping vanilla ice cream into the shape of a baked potato, rolling it in cocoa powder to resemble the skin, and topping it with whipped cream and a cherry to look like a potato. Will Adam be able to resist this unique treat?

Finally, Adam heads to Bardenay, a distillery and restaurant that serves up delicious cocktails and a signature dish called the "Amazing Burger." This burger is made with a half-pound beef patty, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, BBQ sauce, and onion rings, all served on a freshly baked ciabatta roll. But the real challenge is the "Shot and a Beer" challenge, where Adam must eat the Amazing Burger and wash it down with a shot of whiskey and a glass of beer in under 15 minutes. Can he handle this ultimate food and drink combo?

Throughout the episode, Adam also explores the city of Boise and meets with local chefs and restaurateurs to learn more about the city's food scene and culinary traditions. From classic diner fare to creative pizza toppings and unique desserts, Boise proves to be a foodie destination that should not be missed.
