Ep 6. Convention

Malcolm in the Middle season 2 episode 6 "Convention" follows the chaotic adventures of the Wilkerson family as they attend a convention for the Association of New Brand Names (ANBN). Hal is there to showcase his invention, the Wacky Mower, while Lois is solely focused on winning the ANBN's "Family of the Year" award. Meanwhile, Malcolm and Reese get sidetracked and end up wandering around the convention, leading to trouble.

While Lois and Hal search for their missing sons, Dewey explores the convention game section, winning various prizes. However, his luck runs out when he meets a game vendor who takes advantage of his innocent nature and tricks him into wasting all his money.

As the day draws to a close, the family reunites and heads to the ANBN's "Family of the Year" ceremony. Lois is over the moon when she is announced as the winner, but her excitement is short-lived when she realizes that the prize car is only a toy car. The episode ends with the Wilkerson family driving home, exhausted and disappointed from their ANBN experience.
