The episode Snitch from the fourth season of Major Crimes features the investigation of a murder case connected to a group of Middle Eastern bakers. The episode begins with the discovery of the body of a female bakery worker, who was apparently killed in a robbery gone wrong. However, as the investigation unfolds, the detectives discover that the murder may be connected to the workers' illegal use of a loan shark.
The team, led by Captain Sharon Raydor, soon identifies the victim as Rima Niazi, an Afghani immigrant who had been working illegally in the bakery. They also find out that several other workers at the bakery had taken out loans from a man named Abdul Sharif, who charged them extremely high rates of interest. The detectives suspect that Sharif may have arranged Rima's murder to collect on her debt.
As the investigation continues, the detectives have to deal with uncooperative witnesses and red herrings. Meanwhile, Internal Affairs investigator Detective Ricardo Ramos arrives at the Major Crimes Division to look into an allegation that Sharon Raydor is protecting a snitch. Ramos has evidence that Raydor has been giving special treatment to a witness in a high-profile case involving a gang leader, and he suspects that the witness may be a snitch for Raydor's ex-husband, who is a defense attorney.
While dealing with the Internal Affairs investigation, Raydor and her team continue to pursue the bakery murder case. They find out that one of the bakery workers, a young man named Khaled, had been lured into a trap by Sharif and forced to wear a wire to collect evidence against his co-workers. Khaled's betrayal had led to Rima's murder, and he is now hiding from both Sharif and the police.
Using their skills and experience, the detectives finally apprehend Sharif and bring him to justice. They also manage to locate Khaled and convince him to testify against Sharif and his other co-conspirators.
In the end, the detectives are able to close the bakery murder case successfully, and Sharon Raydor is cleared of any wrongdoing by Internal Affairs. Snitch is an intense and suspenseful episode of Major Crimes that explores issues of illegal immigration, loan sharking, and the importance of trust and loyalty in criminal investigations.
