The beginning of season 3 of Major Crimes sees the team discovering the gruesome aftermath of a triple murder involving a family of flight crew members. While the initial clues seem to point towards an act of domestic violence, the circumstances surrounding the case quickly become more complex, involving a dodgy triangle between the victims, a $200,000 robbery, and a slew of conspiracy theories implicating various airline industry players. As the detectives delve deeper into the case, they realize that the killer is still at large and may be targeting more victims. Among the suspects are the surviving family members, a shady paraplegic who claims to have witnessed the crime, and the wealthy uncle of one of the deceased flight attendants, who has a suspiciously alibi-proof schedule. With tensions running high and the stakes even higher, the Major Crimes squad must work tirelessly to track down the perpetrator before it’s too late. Along the way, they have to navigate complicated personal relationships, unexpected plot twists, and the ever-present challenges of their demanding profession. Within the course of the episode, the dynamics of the team shift and evolve as they address new challenges and face old demons. This is Major Crimes at its best: a thrilling, high-stakes procedural drama with complex characters and intricate plots that keep you guessing until the very end.
