Ep 67. Episode 67
- January 8, 1994
Draupadi, Arjun, and Bheem, along with their other companions, happen to encounter a disguised Yudhisthir at the lake while they are in search of water. They fail to recognize him and ask him about the murder of Jatasura, for which Yudhisthir is actually responsible. Yudhisthir gives them a vague answer, and this surprises Pandavas. As soon as Yudhisthir leaves, they find the corpse of Jatasura and realize that they had met the killer themselves.
They continue their journey and reach the palace of King Virat, where they decide to spend the last year of their exile disguised as commoners. They all take up different jobs, with Draupadi becoming a chambermaid for Queen Sudeshna. Meanwhile, Karna has become the commander-in-chief of Duryodhan's army. He reveals his true identity to Duryodhan, who is pleased to have him on his side.
On the other hand, Dushasan and his brothers are planning to abduct Draupadi, who they believe is still vulnerable after the humiliation she faced in the court of Hastinapur. They take advantage of the absence of Bheem and Arjun, who are on a mission to retrieve the cows that have been stolen from King Virat.
While Draupadi is alone, Dushasan enters her chamber and tries to disrobe her. Draupadi is terrified and helpless, and she prays to Lord Krishna to save her from this ordeal. As Dushasan tries to remove her saree, Draupadi's cries for help reach the ears of the other Pandavas, who rush to her rescue.
Bheem encounters Dushasan and a fierce battle ensues. Bheem kills Dushasan and drinks his blood, fulfilling the vow he had made during the humiliating episode in the court of Hastinapur. Draupadi is relieved and grateful to her husbands for saving her honor.
In the meantime, Arjun is on a mission to retrieve the stolen cows when he encounters Karna. They engage in a war of words, and Karna challenges Arjun to a battle. Arjun hesitates at first, as he does not want to break his vow of anonymity during the last year of exile. However, he eventually agrees to the challenge, with the condition that the identity of the winner will not be revealed.
They engage in a fierce battle that lasts for hours, with neither of them emerging as the clear winner. The battle is eventually interrupted by Lord Krishna, who advises them to stop fighting and focus on their respective duties.
The episode ends with the Pandavas successfully completing the last year of their exile, and preparing to reveal their true identities to King Virat. They receive a warm welcome from the king, who is pleased to have them as his guests. However, their peace is short-lived as they realize that the Kauravas have declared war on them, and they must prepare for the upcoming battle.
