In Episode 38 of Mahabharat, tensions continue to rise between the Pandavas and Kauravas as they prepare for the impending war. Bhishma Pitamah advises Duryodhan to reconsider his actions, warning him of the consequences of his arrogance and cruelty towards the Pandavas. However, Duryodhan remains adamant and refuses to listen, declaring that he will do everything in his power to ensure that the Pandavas are defeated and humiliated in battle.
Meanwhile, the Pandavas continue to gather allies and support, with Krishna and Arjuna traveling to various kingdoms to forge alliances and strengthen their army. They make alliances with powerful rulers such as the Yadava king, Virata, and the Matsya king, Virata's brother-in-law. They also enlist the help of experienced warriors such as Satyaki, Bhima's close friend, and Drupada, Draupadi's father.
As the preparations for war continue, Bhishma Pitamah reveals his dilemma to Dhritarashtra, the king of the Kuru dynasty. Bhishma expresses his regret for his role in the injustice that has been inflicted upon the Pandavas, and admits that he cannot fight against them wholeheartedly in the upcoming war. However, he also cannot break his oath to protect and serve the Kuru dynasty. Dhritarashtra consoles Bhishma, telling him that he understands the complexity of his situation and that he will always be respected for his loyalty and dedication towards the Kuru dynasty.
The episode concludes with Duryodhan plotting to prevent the Pandavas from obtaining their rightful share of the kingdom, and Bhishma Pitamah struggling with his own conscience as he prepares to lead the Kuru army into battle. As the tension continues to mount, it becomes clear that the war between the Pandavas and Kauravas will be a battle of not only physical strength, but also moral values and principles.
