Magnum P.I. season 2 episode 13 is titled The Jororo Kill. The episode kicks off with Magnum deciding to help a woman with a mission that is very close to her heart - searching for her missing brother, who went missing years ago. As Magnum begins digging into the case, he discovers that the disappearance might involve a murder.
The woman requesting Magnum's assistance is named Rosie, and she's looking for her brother Michael. Michael was last known to be working with the Jororo tribe, in an area of the jungle that's been known for skirmishes between the locals and an oil company. The situation between the tribe and the company is tense, and both sides have been known to use violence to get what they want.
Magnum immediately sets out for the jungle, where he runs into a lot of obstacles that hinder his search. For starters, the oil company has set up a blockade preventing anyone from going in or out. The company guards at the blockade also refuse to let him in, even after he explains who he is and why he's there.
After being blocked at the company's blockade, Magnum meets up with an old contact to try and get some information. The man tells him that the situation between the oil company and the tribe is worse than Magnum initially believed. The company has been poisoning the Jororo's water sources in an attempt to force them out of the area. These poisoned waters could also be the cause of Michael's disappearance.
When Magnum finally makes his way to Jororo territory, the situation takes a turn for the worse. After discovering the tribe's village, he's ambushed by a group of people from a rival tribe. He manages to fend off the attackers but is injured in the process.
Magnum is taken in by the Jororo tribe and cared for by a woman named Wi. He learns that despite the company's actions, the Jororo people are firm in their belief that violence is not the answer, even in the face of adversity. The tribe's people are compassionate and care deeply for their land and community.
Magnum eventually realizes that Michael's disappearance may be related to the company's plans. He teams up with Rosie and Wi to investigate further and discovers a massive oil rig being built by the company. Magnum must navigate around construction and security personnel to get to the bottom of the mystery.
The episode ends on a tense note as Magnum uncovers the truth about what happened to Michael and who is behind it. The end also paints a picture of how dark greed can be, where even the close-knit community of the indigenous Jororo tribe is not safe from greedy corporations.
Fans of this show will find the usual action-packed adventure and detective work they've come to expect from the show. However, they'll also be treated to an exploration of respect for different cultures and a warning about the dangers of unchecked capitalism. Overall, the episode delivers an excellent blend of intrigue, adventure, and suspense.
