In the second half of the episode, John travels to Memphis, Tennessee, to visit Wright Medical Orthopedics. Wright Medical is a global medical device company that specializes in creating surgical devices and technologies to treat orthopedic injuries and conditions. John takes a tour of the manufacturing facility and learns about the process of creating these life-changing devices.

He sees the different stages of production, from the research and development stage to the final assembly of the devices. John meets with the engineers and designers who develop the products, as well as the workers who assemble them.

In addition to learning about the manufacturing process, John also speaks with patients who have been helped by Wright Medical devices. He hears firsthand how these products have improved their lives by allowing them to walk again or reducing their pain.

Through these two vastly different companies, John Ratzenberger showcases the diversity and ingenuity of American manufacturing. The show highlights the importance of innovation, quality, and attention to detail in creating products that can change lives or shape the culture of our society.
