Ep 15. Just My Dog

Just My Dog is the fifteenth episode in the third season of the beloved sitcom Mad About You, which aired on February 18, 1995. This episode focuses on Jamie and Paul Buchman's beloved dog, Murray.

The episode starts with Jamie and Paul getting into bed, where they proceed to have a discussion about whether or not Murray is fat. However, he soon realizes that Murray isn't exactly show material. Murray can't sit still, won't listen to commands, and even bumps into the judges' table. Despite all of this, the judges seem to find something charming about Murray and decide to award him a prize for "most charismatic."

After the show, Paul and Murray return home with a new trophy, but Jamie is still concerned about Murray's weight. She tries to get him to exercise by playing fetch with him in the apartment, but it quickly turns into chaos when Murray won't give the ball back and starts jumping on the couch. Meanwhile, Paul is trying to come up with a new diet plan for Murray and decides to start feeding him boiled chicken and brown rice.

The next day, Paul and Jamie discover that Murray has managed to steal and eat an entire batch of brownies. They rush him to the vet, where they learn that he isn't in any serious danger, but they need to be more careful about what they feed him. The vet also puts Murray on a strict diet of dry dog food and vegetables.

The rest of the episode follows the Buchmans as they try to help Murray lose weight. They take him for walks, play with him, and try to resist giving him any treats. Meanwhile, Murray is clearly unhappy with his new diet and spends most of his time begging for food.

Just My Dog is a sweet and lighthearted episode of Mad About You that showcases the love and devotion that Jamie and Paul have for their furry friend, Murray.
