Ep 5. The Coming of Goemon the Thirteenth

Lupin the Third Part 1 is an anime series which follows the adventures of Arsène Lupin III, the grandson of the famous gentleman thief Arsène Lupin, and his partners in crime Daisuke Jigen and Fujiko Mine. In the fifth episode of season one, titled "The Coming of Goemon the Thirteenth," the trio is joined by a new member: Goemon Ishikawa XIII.

Together, they travel to a small island where the diamond is being held. Along the way, they come across Fujiko Mine, who also has her eye on the diamond.

Once they arrive on the island, they discover that the diamond is being guarded by a group of soldiers and a powerful electromagnetic field. Lupin comes up with a plan to use a remote-controlled helicopter to fly the diamond out of the field. However, their plan goes awry when they are once again attacked by Goemon and the samurai.

During the fight, Lupin realizes that Goemon is not like any other opponent he has faced before. He recognizes Goemon's skill with the katana and begins to respect him as a worthy adversary. Lupin ultimately convinces Goemon to join forces with him and Jigen, and the three of them are able to successfully steal the diamond.

The episode ends with Lupin and his gang celebrating their victory, with Goemon joining in on the fun. From this episode onward, Goemon becomes a regular member of Lupin's gang, bringing his samurai skills to their criminal endeavors.

Overall, "The Coming of Goemon the Thirteenth" is a thrilling and action-packed episode that introduces a new character to the series. The addition of Goemon to Lupin's gang adds a new dynamic to the show, and his samurai background provides an interesting contrast to Lupin's more modern thieving methods.
