Lucky Romance is a romantic-comedy K-drama that was released in 2016. It stars Hwang Jeong-eum as Shim Bo-nui, a woman who believes in superstitions and fortune-telling, and Lee Soo-hyuk as her childhood friend, Je Su-ho, who is a genius game developer. The series also features Ryu Jun-Yeol as Je Soo-ho's employee, Gary Choi, who has a mysterious gift of seeing the future.

The story revolves around Shim Bo-nui, who believes that she is cursed and that anyone who gets close to her will suffer misfortune. To break the curse, she resorts to seeking the help of a shaman who tells her that she needs to sleep with a man born in the year of the tiger. Desperate to end her streak of bad luck, she sets her sights on Je Su-ho, who happens to be born in the year of the tiger.

At first, Je Su-ho refuses to go along with Shim Bo-nui's plan, but eventually, he agrees to help her win a money prize from an online game tournament that will allow her to clear off her debts and overcome her unlucky streak. The relationship between Shim Bo-nui and Je Su-ho gradually deepens as they work towards winning the tournament, but their past and personal issues threaten to get in the way of their happiness.

One of the highlights of the show is the chemistry between Hwang Jeong-eum and Lee Soo-hyuk, who make a charming and entertaining on-screen couple. Hwang Jeong-eum delivers a hilarious and endearing performance as Shim Bo-nui, who is quirky, superstitious, and lovable. Lee Soo-hyuk impresses with his portrayal of Je Su-ho, a cold and distant tech genius, who gradually softens and opens up to Shim Bo-nui's charms.

Another standout character is Gary Choi, played by Ryu Jun-Yeol, who adds an element of mystery and intrigue to the story. Gary Choi is a game developer who is revealed to have a paranormal ability to see the future, which he uses to help Je Su-ho and Shim Bo-nui in their quest to win the game tournament. Ryu Jun-Yeol delivers a nuanced and compelling performance as Gary Choi, who is multi-layered and complex.

The show also captures the world of online gaming and game development, which provides a unique and fascinating setting for the story. The game tournament scenes are particularly well-done, with the show employing CGI effects to depict the virtual environment and action sequences. The gaming theme also adds a dynamic element to the plot, as the characters face off against each other and overcome obstacles to win the prize money.

Overall, Lucky Romance is an entertaining and engaging romantic-comedy that combines elements of superstition, gaming, and romance. The show boasts a strong cast, particularly the lead actors Hwang Jeong-eum, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Ryu Jun-Yeol, who deliver excellent performances. The story is heartwarming, funny, and intriguing, with enough twists and turns to keep audiences hooked until the end. If you're looking for a lighthearted and enjoyable K-drama, Lucky Romance is definitely worth a watch.
