Love Stage is a romantic comedy anime television series that premiered on Tokyo MX in 2014. The series is based on a Japanese manga series of the same name written by Eiki Eiki and illustrated by Taishi Zaou, which was first serialized in 2010. The series follows the story of Izumi Sena, a young boy from a family of famous entertainers, who has never had any interest in following in their footsteps. Instead, he dreams of becoming a manga artist despite being tone-deaf and having zero artistic talent. However, his life changes when he is forced to participate in a commercial shoot with one of his family's rival entertainment groups and ends up meeting the handsome and popular actor, Ryouma Ichijou.

As a child, Izumi had unknowingly co-starred in a commercial with Ryouma, who was playing a girl in the ad, and had fallen in love with him. However, when Izumi finds out that Ryouma is actually a guy, he's shocked and doesn't know how to react. Despite his initial shock, Izumi finds himself slowly falling in love with Ryouma all over again. The show follows the ups and downs of their relationship, exploring themes of love, acceptance, and self-discovery.

David Wald voices the character of Ryouma Ichijou, a handsome actor who is used to getting everything he wants. However, he is surprised when he meets Izumi, who he initially believes to be a girl due to being dressed in drag. Throughout the series, Ryouma struggles with his feelings for Izumi, who he starts to develop a genuine attraction towards. David Wald brings a confident and suave quality to Ryouma's character, along with vulnerability in exploring his emotions.

Christopher Sabat lends his voice to the character of Shougo Sena, Izumi's older brother and a famous pop-star in his own right. He is supportive of Izumi's dreams and acts as a mediator between Izumi and their overbearing parents. His character provides a lot of comic relief in the series, and Christopher Sabat's energetic and fun vocal performance adds to the humor.

Ian Sinclair voices the character of Izumi Sena, the protagonist of the series. He's a shy and introverted manga artist who feels out of place in his family of entertainers. Throughout the series, Izumi's character goes through a journey of self-discovery as he learns to accept himself for who he is, explore his feelings for Ryouma, and pursue his dreams. Ian Sinclair brings a soft and gentle quality to Izumi's voice, perfectly capturing his shy and awkward personality.

Overall, Love Stage is a well-executed romantic comedy that explores themes of love, acceptance, and self-discovery. The show features solid vocal performances from David Wald, Christopher Sabat, and Ian Sinclair, who bring their characters to life with energy and sincerity. The animation is also stunning, with colorful and vibrant scenes that capture the playful and comedic tone of the series. If you're a fan of romantic comedies, Love Stage is definitely worth checking out.
