Ep 18. Melissa & Oliver

Melissa and Oliver have lived in their current home for over a decade and they love the location, but they've outgrown the house. With two young children and a dog, the family needs more space and a better layout to suit their needs. Melissa loves the neighborhood and doesn't want to leave, but Oliver is ready for a change of scenery.

Enter designer Hilary Farr and real estate agent David Visentin. Hilary plans to renovate and reconfigure the home to make it more functional, while David will show the couple alternative properties that may better suit their needs.

Hilary's renovation plans include a complete reconfiguration of the main floor to create a more open concept living space. She also wants to add a sunroom off the back of the house, which will provide additional square footage and create a cozy, family-friendly space. In addition, Hilary plans to update the kitchen and bathrooms, and create a more inviting front entrance.

The second property is a modern townhome that's closer to Melissa and Oliver's current neighborhood, but it's smaller than what they're used to. Throughout the episode, Melissa and Oliver struggle to make a decision. On one hand, they love their neighborhood and don't want to leave. On the other hand, they desperately need more space and a more functional layout.
