Ep 7. Triangle... of Missed Encounters
Yuta and Rikka's relationship has been rocky since their return from Italy. Episode 7 of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions Season 2, titled "Triangle... of Missed Encounters," follows the trio of Yuta, Rikka, and Satone as they navigate their feelings for each other in the aftermath of the school trip.
As the episode opens, Yuta is still trying to sort out how he feels about Rikka and Satone. He's conflicted because he knows he can't date both of them but he's not quite sure which one he wants to choose. Meanwhile, Rikka is struggling with her own feelings of inadequacy and jealousy towards Satone, who she sees as a rival for Yuta's affections.
Things come to a head when Yuta runs into Satone on the street and they end up spending the day together, much to Rikka's dismay. As they go about their day, Yuta and Satone are forced to confront the fact that their feelings for each other haven't entirely gone away. At the same time, Rikka is left back at home, feeling anxious and alone.
As the day wears on, Yuta becomes more and more conflicted about his feelings for Rikka and Satone. He's torn between wanting to stay loyal to Rikka, who he's been dating for a while now, and the pull he feels towards Satone, who he has a lot of history with. Satone, for her part, is also unsure of what she wants. She knows she still has feelings for Yuta but she's not sure if she wants to pursue them.
The tension reaches a boiling point when Yuta and Satone share a close moment and almost kiss. Fortunately, they're interrupted before anything can happen but the incident leaves Yuta even more confused than before. He knows he can't keep stringing both Rikka and Satone along but he's not sure how to break the news to either of them.
As the episode draws to a close, Yuta realizes that he needs to make a decision and that it's not fair for him to keep Rikka and Satone in limbo. Meanwhile, Rikka has also come to a realization of her own and seeks out Yuta to talk about their relationship. The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Yuta is forced to finally make a choice between Rikka and Satone.
Overall, "Triangle... of Missed Encounters" is a tense and emotionally charged episode that explores the complicated relationships between Yuta, Rikka, and Satone. It's a great reminder that love and relationships are never easy, especially when you're still figuring out who you are and what you want.
