Ep 11. Wish Upon a Star

As the Robinson family battle to survive on an alien planet, tensions begin to rise between the group and things take a dark turn in episode 11, "Wish Upon a Star". The family is forced to deal with the consequences of their actions as they come to terms with some of the most difficult decisions they have ever had to make.

The episode opens with the Robinsons in crisis mode yet again. A strange rock formation has collapsed, trapping Will underneath. The family is able to free him, but the incident shakes everyone up, revealing underlying tensions and disagreements. As Maureen and John discuss how they can best help their children cope with the situation, they receive a distress signal from an uncharted planet. With no other options available, they decide to investigate.

Upon landing, they discover a lush, beautiful place with stunning vistas and seemingly no signs of danger. However, they also quickly realize that the signals they have been receiving are coming from a derelict spaceship, which seems to be the only thing disrupting the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. As they investigate the wreckage, they come across a strange machine.

The machine is a wishing machine, built by a race of beings that have long since disappeared from the galaxy. It is capable of granting almost any wish, no matter how impossible it may seem at first. Naturally, the Robinsons are fascinated by the machine. When Will wishes for a way to communicate with his father, he is granted a hologram of John that temporarily replaces his father, allowing Will to feel as though he is directly communicating with him.

As the family takes turns making their own wishes - some more practical than others - they begin to realize that their wishes are coming at a cost. Those costs slowly begin to add up, and the Robinsons begin to realize that the machine is dangerous and unpredictable. They are forced to make some difficult decisions as they try to put things right and help each other move forward, all while dealing with the consequences of their own choices.

Throughout the episode, the family members are forced to confront their fears and emotions in increasingly difficult situations. They grapple with the limits of their own power, as well as the extent of their reliance on one another. As they face seemingly insurmountable challenges, they begin to realize that the only way to survive is to rely on each other, no matter how difficult that may seem at times.
