In the first episode of Lost in Space, titled "The Reluctant Stowaway," we are introduced to the Robinson family, a group of colonists on a mission to start a new life on a distant planet. However, things quickly take a turn for the worse when their spaceships encounter a debris field, causing them to become separated and their mothership, the Resolute, to sustain critical damage.
Amidst the chaos, we are introduced to Dr. John Robinson, an astrophysicist who is determined to keep his family alive and get them safely to their new home planet, Alpha Centauri. In order to do so, he enlists the help of a rogue mechanic, Don West, to repair the Resolute's engines and navigate their way through the galaxy.
However, the Robinsons are not alone on their journey. The Resolute also carries other families and individuals seeking a new life, including a mysterious woman named June Harris. As tensions rise and resources become scarce, the Robinsons soon discover that the survival of their entire group is dependent on working together and trusting each other.
"The Reluctant Stowaway" sets the stage for an epic space adventure filled with action, intrigue, and unexpected twists. With stunning visuals and a talented cast led by Toby Stephens and Molly Parker, this first episode proves to be an exciting and thrilling start to the series.
