Ep 1. Episode 1

Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bennett is an avid fan of Jane Austen's novel, Pride and Prejudice, living in present-day Hammersmith, London. Romanticizing the Regency era, she often finds solace in the world of Austen's characters and wishes she could experience their world for herself. Her wish comes true when she discovers a mysterious portal in her bathroom, which leads her directly into the pages of Pride and Prejudice. Expecting to experience a fairy tale romance, Lizzie quickly realizes that the Austen world is not what it seems, and she is not the only one who has been transported there.

Upon arriving in Austen's world, Lizzie finds herself at the doorstep of Longbourn, home to the Bennet family. Confused and disoriented, she is immediately mistaken for the new governess and meets the family patriarch, Mr. Bennet. She quickly meets the rest of the Bennet family, including her literary idol, Elizabeth Bennet. Lizzie is even more thrilled to discover that the character Mr. Darcy is not a figment of Austen's imagination, but a very real and handsome man, who is introduced to her during a visit to Netherfield Park.

As Lizzie begins to navigate the intricacies of Austen's world, she realizes that her arrival has changed the course of the novel's plot. Characters who were once familiar to her have taken on different personalities, and the relationships amongst the characters have shifted. As she interacts with the characters, Lizzie begins to notice that not everyone is pleased with her arrival and is worried about how her presence is affecting the novel's outcome. In particular, Jane Bennet begins to suspect that Lizzie's motives for being in Austen's world are not pure.

As the episode progresses, Lizzie finds herself falling for Mr. Darcy, much like the original Elizabeth Bennet. However, she faces complications in her pursuit of him as the other characters already have their own preconceived notions of her personality. Lizzie's attempts to stay true to the original story poses challenges for her, given her modern view of the world and the societal norms of Austen's time. As Lizzie tries to fit in with the Bennet family and navigate the ever-shifting plot, she learns the importance of staying true to oneself, regardless of the world they inhabit.

The episode ends with Lizzie discovering the true identity of the person who sent her to Austen's world, and she realizes that her time in the world may not be as short-lived as she initially thought. She must prepare herself for the consequences of her actions as they continue to ripple throughout the world she has so longed to be a part of.
