In Looney Tunes season 8 episode 13, Hurdy-Gurdy Hare, Bugs Bunny is seen walking down the street strumming his banjo when he happens upon an organ grinder and his monkey. However, when the organ grinder refuses to give Bugs any change for his performance, Bugs decides to take matters into his own hands.
Bugs steals the organ grinder's monkey and brings him to a nearby city park. There, Bugs puts on a show for the other animals in the park using the monkey as a prop. While Bugs is performing, a group of alley cats notice the show and decide to steal the monkey for their own purposes. Bugs chases after the cats and rescues the monkey, but not before unwittingly attracting the attention of a burglar who is casing the park. The burglar follows Bugs and the animals back to Bugs' home in search of the valuable monkey, and a hilarious battle between the burglar and Bugs ensues.
