In the first episode of season 8 of Looney Tunes, titled "The Heckling Hare," Bugs Bunny finds himself facing off against the persistent heckler Willoughby. Willoughby is a small, bespectacled dog with a high-pitched voice who takes great pleasure in heckling Bugs at every opportunity.
The episode begins with Bugs wandering through the forest, humming to himself and enjoying the scenery. Suddenly, he hears Willoughby's annoying voice shouting insults at him from offscreen. Bugs tries to ignore him and keep walking, but Willoughby keeps following him and heckling him at every turn.
Despite Bugs' best efforts to outsmart and outrun him, Willoughby proves to be an incredibly persistent adversary. He keeps popping up behind trees and bushes, spouting off insulting rhymes and making fun of Bugs' appearance.
As the episode progresses, Bugs tries various tricks and tactics to get rid of Willoughby. He tries to trick him into jumping into a lake, but Willoughby is too smart for that. He tries to confuse him by painting fake tunnels on rocks, but Willoughby sees through the ruse.
Eventually, Bugs is so fed up with Willoughby that he decides to take matters into his own hands. He lures the dog into a trap, catching him in a cartoonishly large bear trap. However, Bugs takes pity on the trapped dog and frees him, hoping that this act of kindness will convince Willoughby to leave him alone.
Unfortunately for Bugs, Willoughby is undeterred. He immediately resumes heckling him, forcing Bugs to come up with one final trick to get rid of him. In the end, Bugs manages to trap Willoughby in a box and ship him off to Lapland, effectively banishing him from the episode.
