Ep 9. A Tale of Two Kitties / Canned Feud

In the Looney Tunes season 5 episode 9, viewers are treated to two hilarious tales featuring some of their favorite iconic characters.

In the first segment, "A Tale of Two Kitties," viewers get to meet two cute and mischievous little kitties named Babbit and Catstello. These two characters are clearly inspired by the popular comedy duo Abbott and Costello. Babbit and Catstello are on the hunt for food, and they stumble upon a deli owned by none other than Tweety Bird's owner.

After a few failed attempts to catch Tweety, the kitties stumble upon a large, rotund bird named "Porky Pigeon." They convince Porky to help them catch Tweety in exchange for a nice, juicy sandwich. What follows is a hilarious back and forth between the cats, the bird, and the beloved canary that has us laughing out loud until the very end.

In the second segment, "Canned Feud," we meet a grumpy old bulldog named Spike who is none too pleased when his son (also named Spike) befriends a cute little yellow bird named Tweety. Things take a hilarious turn when Sylvester the cat tries to catch Tweety and ends up getting trapped in a tin can.

The younger Spike quickly decides to use Sylvester to his advantage, by using him to open all of the cans on the grocery store shelf. What follows is a zany and hilarious chase sequence between Sylvester, the two Spikes, and Tweety, who all want that delicious canned food for themselves.

As always, the Looney Tunes writers and animators have created two side-splittingly funny stories that are sure to entertain both kids and adults alike. With iconic characters like Tweety, Sylvester, Porky Pig, and more, viewers are sure to find themselves transported back to their childhoods as they laugh along with the silly antics of these beloved figures.

While both stories are distinctly different, they are tied together by the same wacky and irreverent humor that has kept the Looney Tunes franchise going strong for decades.
