Double Date is the twelfth episode of the first season of the beloved cartoon series, Looney Tunes. The episode features two of the most iconic characters from the show, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck as they go on a double date with Lola Bunny and Tina Russo.
The episode begins with Bugs and Daffy being invited by Lola and Tina to go on a double date. Bugs, being the ladies' man that he is, is excited at the prospect of a night out on the town, while Daffy is reluctant, knowing that his history with Tina is rocky at best. Nonetheless, they agree to go and meet the ladies at a fancy restaurant.
As they arrive at the restaurant, Bugs and Daffy proceed to sit across from Lola and Tina, exchanging playful banter and compliments. However, things take a turn for the worse when Daffy starts to feel uncomfortable, as Tina begins to criticize him for his lack of ambition and goals in life. Daffy, being the proud duck that he is, takes offense to this and starts arguing with her.
Meanwhile, Bugs and Lola hit it off, enjoying each other's company and having a great time together. Bugs shows off his impressive dance moves, while Lola is impressed with his wit and charm. The two of them are having so much fun that they hardly even notice when Daffy and Tina start to argue loudly, causing a scene in the restaurant.
As the night wears on, things continue to go wrong for Daffy, as he accidentally spills wine all over Tina's dress, and then proceeds to accidentally insult the waiter, who promptly throws them all out of the restaurant. The group tries to find another place to go, but everywhere they go, something goes wrong. They end up at an amusement park, where Bugs and Lola continue to have a great time, while Daffy and Tina continue to argue and bicker.
Finally, Daffy has had enough, and decides to call it a night. As he and Tina walk away, Bugs and Lola share a romantic moment on a Ferris wheel, looking out at the city lights. Daffy looks back in time to see Bugs and Lola share a kiss, and he realizes that he's lost out on a chance at love once again.
In the end, Double Date is a fun and lighthearted episode that showcases the comedic talents of Bugs and Daffy, while also introducing some new characters to the mix.
