In the third episode of the second season of Looking, titled "Looking Top to Bottom," the three main characters - Patrick, Dom, and Agustin - continue to navigate their lives and relationships in the bustling city of San Francisco.
Patrick, who works as a video game designer, continues to explore his complicated romantic entanglement with his boss, Kevin. Despite Kevin being in a long-term relationship, the two have been flirting and spending time together outside of work. However, Patrick is starting to realize that the situation may not be as perfect as he initially thought, and begins to question Kevin's true intentions.
Meanwhile, Dom - who has been struggling to find success in his culinary career - decides to pursue a new avenue by starting his own business. Alongside his best friend, Doris, Dom prepares to open a Portuguese chicken restaurant. However, as they begin the process of searching for a location and securing funding, tensions start to arise between the two.
Agustin, who has been attempting to establish himself as an artist in San Francisco, is dealing with his own personal issues as he tries to find his place in the world. He begins to question his relationship with his boyfriend, Frank, and wonders if he is really attracted to him or just using him as a means of escaping his own insecurities and fears.
As the three friends continue to navigate their personal and professional lives, they must also grapple with their own identities and how they fit into the larger world around them. "Looking Top to Bottom" is a poignant and honest exploration of the complexities of modern day life, relationships, and self-discovery.
