Watch Lizard Lick Towing

Lizard Lick Towing is a half an hour reality show that is featured on TruTV and produced by Zodiak, USA. This series follows the team at Lizard Lick Towing and Recovery as they repossess vehicles in the backwoods of North Carolina. Lizard Lick is an unincorporated community that is located where Lizard Lick Road meets NC 97. Lizard Lick Towing and Recovery is owned by Amy and Ron Shirley.

After working in sales of vehicles, Ron saw the need for a repossession company and in 1998; he and Amy started Lizard Lick with just a 1996 Rollback tow truck. Now they run a fleet of 20 trucks and periodically have a staff of 15 workers. Ron is not just the repossession man in Lizard Lick though. He is also the Mayor Pro-tem of the Lizard Lick community and as an ordained minister he runs the Eastern Chapter of Dirt Church.

Besides being part-owner and office manager of Lizard Lick Towing, Amy Vaughan Shirley is also a very well rounded and educated woman. Amy is a world champion power lifter and is still an active mixed martial arts fighter. She is also one of the very few licensed female morticians in the southern states. In between working at Lizard Lick and working out, she is a full time mother to four children.

Whenever Ron is filmed repossessing a vehicle, he is never alone. Right beside him is lead repo man and best friend Bobby Brantley. Bobby and Ron have been best friends for 15 years and have worked together for the last 5 years. Bobby is experienced with farm equipment, tractor trailers and construction equipment so Ron would call on him for help with those repossessions. Bobby also stands 6 feet 5 inches tall, so his other job classification is to protect Ron, at all costs.

Amy, Ron and Bobby are not the only ones that keep Lizard Lick running smoothly. Amy has an office assistant that is known as "Big Juicy" but her real name is Diane. She actually had her car repossessed by Lizard Lick and after various confrontations with them, she responded to an ad for office help. One of the reasons why Big Juicy was hired is because of the crush she has on Bobby and she is often seen chasing him around.

Ron also has a full time crew. Krazy Dave is one of the assistant repossession agents and he is known for having no fear and anything goes in a repo. Big Mike is the resident mechanic who has to repair the vehicles if they come in damaged from repossession. Because Lizard Lick is open 24 hours a day, the repossession manager Steve has to handle everything that happens after the sun goes down. Jay Paul is the lead tow truck driver on the night shifts and he not only picks up repossessions but he also goes on calls for stranded motorists.

Lizard Lick Towing and Recovery does not just repossess vehicles, they have repossessed everything from speedboats to personal airplanes and from surfboards to live deer. They deal with lien holders from all over the state and are will to repossess virtually anything. The minister part of Ron realizes that everyone falls on hard times but as a repo man Ron knows that it's just business as usual.

As the cameras follow along, Bobby and Ron are often confronted with more than just fists and curse words. They have been threatened with knives, guns, gasoline, flame throwers and even fireworks. In the state of North Caroline repossession companies may not have any weapons in their vehicles. This includes knives, guns, taser gun or even a baseball bat. In order to avoid any legal complications, Ron has decided to run his company exactly as required.

In each episode Ron and Bobby must come up with a game plan to use even if this includes tricking the owner out of their vehicle. As Ron starts hooking up and towing the vehicle, Bobby is usually wrestling or outwitting the unsuspecting owner. Lizard Lick Towing made its television debut in 2011, and is now on its third season.
