In Little Mosque on the Prairie season 2 episode 11 titled "Five Year Plan," the residents of Mercy are busy planning for their annual festival, but Reverend Thorne and Baber are at odds over the festival's name and purpose. Meanwhile, Rayyan and J.J. are celebrating their five-year anniversary as a couple, but their differing ideas for the future raise some concerns.
Yasir is excited to submit a proposal for a new business venture, but Sarah questions his motives and wonders if he's only in it for the money. Fatima and Layla are trying to figure out a way to make their social media accounts more popular, but when they take the advice of a social media guru, things quickly spiral out of control.
Meanwhile, Amaar is dealing with a personal matter affecting his health. When his symptoms worsen, he's forced to confront the possibility of having to make a big decision about his future. With the help of his friends, he decides to take matters into his own hands and face the issue head-on.
As the festival draws near, tensions rise as Thorne and Baber continue to clash. Rayyan and J.J. struggle to reconcile their differences and come up with a plan for their future together. Yasir's proposal brings unexpected complications, and Fatima and Layla quickly learn that internet fame isn't all it's cracked up to be.
In the end, the residents of Mercy come together to celebrate their unique community and the diversity that makes it special. Despite their differences, they find common ground and a sense of belonging that transcends all boundaries.
