Ep 4. Episode 4

The episode starts with the kids of the primary school in the middle of their lunch break. As always, they gather around a wooden bench in the yard and talk about their daily lives. However, this time, things are a bit different. Atticus, a new student, has just joined their class, and the kids cannot stop wondering about him.

They ask him where he came from, why he moved to their school, and if he likes it here. Atticus, being the shy and reserved boy he is, does not give out much information about himself. He tells them that he used to live somewhere far off, but he and his parents had to move due to his father's work. He also says that he likes their school but is still trying to adjust to the new routine and the surroundings.

A few minutes into their lunch break, the kids notice something strange happening near the school gate. They see a man wearing a hoodie and glasses standing there, looking at them. The man seems to be waiting for someone, and the kids cannot help but be curious. Some of them think he might be a thief or a kidnapper, while others think he may be a relative of some student.

As they try to figure out what's happening, they notice that Atticus looks familiar to the man. He seems to be staring at Atticus specifically, and this makes the kids even more suspicious. They ask Atticus if he knows the man, but he denies it.

In the meantime, they also notice that the school caretaker, Debra-Jo, has gone missing. Debra-Jo is a friendly and helpful caretaker who looks after the school premises, and it is unusual for her to be absent during school hours. The kids worry that something might have happened to her, but they cannot find any clues.

As they continue to discuss the situation, they hear a loud noise from the direction of the school gate. They see that the man in the hoodie has broken the lock and entered the school premises. The kids panic and run in different directions, not knowing what to do.

While all this is happening, Atticus feels that he may know the man somehow. He tries to remember where he has seen him before but cannot recollect anything. He feels responsible for the situation and decides to face the man. However, before he can do anything, the school principal, Mrs. Gonsha, arrives on the scene and takes charge of the situation.

She confronts the man and asks him to identify himself. The man reveals that he is Atticus's uncle, who had been trying to contact Atticus's parents for some time. However, they were not available, and he was worried about their safety. He had come to the school to see Atticus and make sure that they were alright.

The principal assures him that everything is fine and that he can go home, but not before she gives him a stern warning about breaking into school premises. She also advises him to contact the school authorities in case of any emergency instead of taking matters into his own hands.

Atticus is relieved to know that his uncle had no bad intentions and that his parents are safe. The kids also feel relieved and sorry for the commotion they created. However, they still cannot find Debra-Jo and decide to inform the school authorities about her disappearance.

At the end of the episode, Mrs. Gonsha announces that they have found Debra-Jo, who was stuck in a closet while cleaning the school supplies. She also commends the kids for their quick thinking and responsible behavior during the crisis.
