It is a beautiful day in the school at which the kids are attending and the bell for the lunch coincidentally rings. All the children happily rush to the playground to have their lunch. Little Lunch is a show that revolves around the hilarious conversations that kids have during their lunchtime. In this particular episode titled "The Grandparent's Day," the loveable kids of Little Lunch are excited about Grandparent's Day, which is a day when all grandparents of the students come to visit their grandchildren at school. One of the children, Debra-Jo, is particularly excited as her Grandparents have never missed attending this special day. During their lunchtime, the kids start discussing their grandparent's quirks and some funny stories. Tamara and Melanie share some absurd facts about their grandparents, which leaves the other kids giggling.
Max wants a complete outlook of all the children's grandparents, so he can plan ahead on how to get more cake. The kids start asking questions about different grandparents, and they tell each other their favourite things about their grandparents. After a while, they start to argue about who has the best grandparents in the world. They try to defend their grandparents, but it reaches a point where they realise that they cannot decide who has the best grandparents.
As the grandparent's day arrives, the children are excited to welcome their grandparents to the school. They put up various activities that the grandparents could participate in. Rory puts up a science experiment booth for the grandparents to enjoy. Tamara, while welcoming her grandparent, introduces her as "the smelliest house person," which makes everyone laugh. Battie takes her grandparent to the Yo-Yo booth, where they start showcasing their Yo-Yo skills, fighting for who will take home the prize. They are having a wonderful time.
However, when it comes to Debra-Jo’s grandparents, there are no signs of them showing up. Her initial enthusiasm has slowly turned into anxiety and then into disappointment. She tries to make up stories to hide her disappointment, but her friends know better. They try to act normal, but Rory accidentally spills the beans, sharing Debra-Jo’s secret. Max comes to her rescue by sharing a strategy to deal with the situation, which gives Debra-Jo some hope.
As they wrap up the celebrations, they decide to take some photographs to remember their grandparent's day. Debra-Jo is still waiting for her grandparents, and her hope is slowly diminishing. Suddenly, there is a knock on the door, and there they are, her beloved grandparents. She goes to hug them, overjoyed that they arrived, and the whole class welcomes them warmly.
