Ep 21. He Was Only Twelve (1)

Laura begins teaching at the school in Walnut Grove and discovers that her new student, a 12-year-old boy named Almanzo, is older than his classmates and has been held back several times. She tries to help him catch up academically while dealing with his behavioral issues, which include stealing and lying. Meanwhile, Almanzo's father blames Laura for his son's struggles and refuses to believe that he needs special attention. As Laura tries to make a difference in Almanzo's life, she also takes steps to protect him from his angry, abusive father.
