Ep 16. Second Chance

Laura and Almanzo plan to adopt a boy named James, who is struggling to connect with his older siblings at the orphanage. However, upon meeting James, Almanzo realizes that he's the same boy who stole his wallet years ago when James was living on the streets. Almanzo is torn between giving James a second chance and his own anger over the past theft. Meanwhile, Charles becomes concerned about the amount of time he's spending away from Mary and their family as he continues to build his business. He decides to take a step back and prioritize his family in a heartwarming scene with Caroline. As tensions rise between Almanzo and James, Laura intervenes and helps them both see each other's perspectives. In the end, Almanzo and Laura decide to give James the second chance he deserves, and the family eagerly welcomes him into their home.
