In season 2 episode 13 of Little House on the Prairie titled "The Talking Machine," the Ingalls family purchases a phonograph from a traveling salesman. The machine becomes the talk of the town and everyone is excited to hear their voices played back to them. However, when Nellie Oleson sabotages the phonograph, the town turns against the Ingalls family. Meanwhile, Charles Ingalls struggles with the idea of whether or not to accept a job offer to work for the railroad company. The episode touches on themes of jealousy, forgiveness, and the importance of standing up for oneself. As always, the heartwarming moments between the Ingalls family and their friends in Walnut Grove will leave viewers feeling touched and inspired.
