The second half of the episode deals with Little Bill’s fear of worms. Little Bill is playing outside with his friends when he comes across a worm and becomes terrified. His friends tease him for being scared and Little Bill becomes embarrassed. He tries to conquer his fear of worms by observing them and even holding them, but he still can’t seem to shake off his fear. Eventually, his grandmother comes to his rescue and reminds him that it’s okay to be scared and that everyone has fears. She tells him a story about how she was afraid of spiders when she was younger and how she learned to overcome her fear. With her help, Little Bill is able to face his fear of worms and conquer it.
Overall, "Violin Lessons/Squirmy" is a heart-warming episode that teaches important lessons about perseverance and overcoming fear. Through Little Bill's experiences learning to play the violin and facing his fear of worms, children are encouraged to practice perseverance, patience, and understanding towards themselves and others.
