Lipstick Jungle was a popular American television series which was aired on NBC during the years 2008 to 2009. The drama series was originated from the book with the same name written by Candace Bushnell, who had also authored Sex and the City which had eventually become a blockbuster hit on HBO.

The series had Brooke Shields, Kim Raver, Lindsay Price, Paul Blackthorne, Robert Buckley, and Andrew McCarthy in the lead roles. It revolved around the lives of three successful women, who are best friends and working in Manhattan, New York City. Each has achieved outstanding success in their respective careers, and they are all bound by the common expectation of being the best in their fields.

Wendy Healy played by Brooke Shields, is the President of Parador Pictures, a major movie production company. She is highly ambitious and has a strong passion for making movies. Despite being a success, she struggles with work-life balance and constantly tries to navigate her way through the corporate politics and rivalry within the movie industry.

Nico Reilly played by Kim Raver, is the Editor in Chief of Bonfire Magazine, one of the prominent fashion magazines of the city. Her responsibility is to keep up the quality of the magazine as well as aligning it with the latest trends, along with meeting the high expectations of her boss. Despite her power and status, Nico is struggling in her personal life, trying to keep her family intact and her relationship with her estranged husband reinstated.

Victory Ford played by Lindsay Price is the proprietor of her own fashion-designing business, Victory Ford Designs. She seems to be the most balanced out of the three women, who is comfortable with her success and always planning to move forward. Victory is in good terms with her business associates but falls short of nurturing a healthy married life.

The show portrayed their journey and the challenges that they face to maintain their professional and personal lives. They faced many trials and tribulations as they navigated through the cut-throat world of fashion, media, and movie production. Along with their highly successful careers, they also had to deal with their fair share of personal problems, which added even more complexity to their lives.

The personal problems that the three women faced were also an important aspect of the series. Wendy's husband is a stay-at-home dad and struggling to cope with it, whereas Nico's husband is asking for a divorce, and she is trying to rebuild her relationship with her husband while trying to keep her job intact. Victory, on the other hand, is dealing with her disintegrating marriage to her best friend Joe, who always supported her.

The show explores women's friendships, their aspirations and ambitions in their respective fields, their love lives, and the struggle to maintain a work-life balance. Lipstick Jungle was a brilliant show, with strong performances from its cast and a beautifully crafted storyline.

Lipstick Jungle is a series that ran for 2 seasons (20 episodes) between February 7, 2008 and on NBC
