Lilo & Stitch: The Series is an animated Disney show that picks up after the events of the first Lilo & Stitch movie. However, things quickly go awry when Stitch accidentally knocks over the vial and spills the blue liquid onto Mertle.

Mertle is transformed into a blueprint and Lilo and Stitch are horrified when they realize they don't know how to reverse the process. They try to make a copy of Mertle to trick her friends into believing that nothing is wrong, but the copy turns out to be faulty. The real Mertle is still a blueprint and the copy is flawed in a way that causes her to speak gibberish.

Lilo and Stitch start to panic as they realize the seriousness of their mistake. Meanwhile, Jumba and Pleakley arrive in Hawaii to help find Experiment 258 and fix the situation. They discover that the experiment has been taken by a mischievous group of aliens who plan to use it for their own selfish purposes.

Lilo and Stitch, with the help of Jumba and Pleakley, team up to get Experiment 258 back and fix Mertle. They eventually locate the aliens' hideout and engage in a high-speed chase to retrieve the experiment. The aliens use Experiment 258 to create a blueprint army to stop Lilo and Stitch, but our heroes think outside the box and use the blueprint of an umbrella to glide across the sky and avoid the aliens.

In a dramatic showdown, Lilo and Stitch manage to retrieve Experiment 258 and reverse the process, turning Mertle back into a human. The episode ends on a happy note with Lilo and Mertle showing a newfound appreciation for each other after their shared experience.
