- January 5, 2004
Lilo & Stitch: The Series Season 1 Episode 30, titled "Angel," focuses on the arrival of a new experiment, Experiment 624 or Angel. She is designed to be a cherub-like experiment that can hypnotize people with her singing. However, Angel is a bit of a wild card and has escaped from Jumba's lab before he can properly test her.
Lilo and Stitch first encounter Angel when she tries to steal a sandwich from Lilo's lunchbox. However, they quickly realize that she is not like their other experiments and that her singing has a magical quality to it. Angel is also quite mischievous and has a penchant for causing trouble. Lilo and Stitch quickly take a liking to her and decide to keep her as a pet.
Meanwhile, Gantu has been tasked with capturing Angel by his evil boss, Dr. Hämsterviel. Gantu and his team set out to find Angel, but they have no idea what she looks like or what her powers are. Hämsterviel also sends his own agent, a small crab-like creature named Experiment 625, to assist Gantu in his mission.
As Lilo and Stitch spend more time with Angel, they start to realize that her singing has a soothing effect on people and can even heal them. Stitch becomes particularly attached to Angel and starts to form a special bond with her. However, they soon realize that Angel's powers are not purely benevolent as they thought. Her singing can also be used in a more sinister way to control people's minds.
When Gantu finally tracks down Angel, Lilo and Stitch must work together to protect her from being captured. They come up with a plan to use Angel's singing against Gantu and his team by luring them into a trap. The plan works and Angel is safe once again.
In the end, Lilo and Stitch decide to keep Angel as a member of their Ohana, even though Jumba warns them that her powers could be dangerous in the wrong hands. They also realize that Angel's mischievous nature is part of what makes her special and decide to embrace it rather than try to change her.
Overall, "Angel" is a heartwarming episode that shows the power of music and the importance of accepting others for who they are. With its mix of humor and heart, it is a great example of what makes Lilo & Stitch: The Series a beloved classic.
