In the episode "Sky's the Limit" of Life Below Zero season 16, viewers are taken on a journey to the remote wilderness of Alaska to follow the lives of a group of people who choose to live off the grid, in some of the harshest conditions in the world. With winter approaching, the residents know that they must work hard to prepare for the difficult months ahead.

Chip and Agnes Hailstone, who live in the Noatak region of Alaska, prepare for the annual moose hunting season, which is the only time of the year when they can harvest enough meat to last them through the winter. They also have to make sure that their cabin is sturdy enough to withstand the blizzards that are sure to come. Chip braces the porch while Agnes tidies up the cabin and the surrounding area. She also demonstrates how to make a tool that is used to scrape the snow off various surfaces during the winter months.

Meanwhile, 250 miles away, Sue Aikens, who lives in Kavik, must deal with the aftermath of a bear attack. A bear has broken into one of Sue's storage units, resulting in the loss of some of her supplies. She must now figure out how to protect herself and her property from future bear attacks. In addition, Sue continues to manage her small airfield, welcoming visitors and ensuring the safety of all those who come and go.

Further north, Jessie Holmes and his dog team head out on a training run. With the Iditarod race fast approaching, Jessie must make sure that his dogs are in peak condition. He trains them through the rugged terrain of the Alaskan wilderness, over steep hills and through deep snowdrifts. Jessie also demonstrates how to make a sled runner, which is essential for keeping the sled moving smoothly over the snow.

Finally, in King Salmon, Glenn Villeneuve harvests firewood and repairs his snow machine in preparation for the upcoming winter. Glenn talks about the importance of staying connected with nature and the wilderness, explaining how the nature around him gives him the motivation to keep going. Viewers also get a glimpse into Glenn's past, as he reflects on the events that brought him to Alaska and how he found peace and contentment in the solitude of the wilderness.

All in all, "Sky's the Limit" is a fascinating episode that showcases the resilience and resourcefulness of the people who choose to live off the grid in Alaska. It provides a glimpse into their day-to-day lives and highlights the challenges they face as they work to survive in one of the most extreme environments on the planet. With stunning cinematography and compelling storytelling, Life Below Zero continues to be a must-watch show for anyone interested in the wilderness and survivalism.
