Ep 11. Call of the Wolf

As the winter season continues to set in, Alaskans are bracing themselves for the harsh weather conditions that have now become synonymous with the terrain that lies below zero. In the latest episode of Life Below Zero: Next Generation season 5, titled "Call of the Wolf," viewers get an up-close and personal look at the daily lives of these rugged individuals and the various strategies they must deploy to stay alive.

Elsewhere, Jessie Holmes, who is a native of Nenana, is busy trying to find solutions to keep her dogs warm as the temperature drops to near deadly levels. Jessie is forced to get creative, and she constructs a new shelter for her dogs. The heavy snowfall makes it more difficult to maintain the shelter, and Jessie is left with yet another challenge to tackle.

Finally, Glenn Villeneuve, who has lived in the wilderness for over twenty years, is the seasoned veteran in the group. While he has adapted to the challenging environment, Glenn faces a daunting task in breaking down an animal processing facility. Although he has done it many times before, the task proves harder this time around, leaving Glenn worried about his safety and future.

Throughout the episode, viewers get to see the unique strategies used by each participant to survive the harsh life below zero. From Luke's wolf hunt to Sue's power outage rescue mission, and the challenge of maintaining dog shelters by Jessie to Glenn's experience with processing facilities, every aspect of life in the Alaskan wilderness is captured.
