The episode opens with a group of religious pilgrims, led by Father Paul, arriving in Boston to witness a supposed miracle performed by a famous televangelist named Reverend Kipling. While the pilgrims are eagerly anticipating the miracle, the Leverage team is gearing up to expose the fraud behind it.
The team begins their investigation by attending one of Kipling's sermons, where they witness his power over the crowd and his ability to manipulate their emotions. They then start to uncover the financial motives behind the miracle, with Kipling and his team using it as a way to raise money and increase their influence.
As the team gathers evidence, they are faced with a dilemma when Father Paul's faith in the miracle is unshakeable, despite their attempts to dissuade him. In an effort to protect the pilgrims from being conned, they come up with a plan to stage their own miracle, one that is based on science and not religious fervor.
With the help of their tech wizard, Hardison, the team sets up a series of elaborate props and special effects to create the illusion of a miraculous healing. While the pilgrims are initially skeptical, their faith is quickly restored when they witness the seemingly impossible happen before their eyes.
In the end, the team succeeds in exposing Kipling's fraud and convincing Father Paul to use his faith in a more positive way. The Leverage team once again proves that their elaborate schemes can be used for the greater good, and that even the most convincing miracles can be revealed as mere illusions.
