As the Leverage team reunites for a new adventure, we are introduced to a new character, Harry Wilson, a con man and former associate of the team. In the first episode, the team is tasked with retrieving stolen paintings, including multiple Rembrandts, from a wealthy eccentric who has them locked up in his mansion.
The team, consisting of Sophie Devereaux, Eliot Spencer, Parker, and Hardison, initially plan on using their usual tactics of disguises and cons to get into the mansion and steal the paintings. But when they realize that the mansion is heavily fortified with guards and cameras, they need to come up with a new plan.
Enter Harry Wilson, who believes that he can con his way into the mansion by posing as an art collector and tricking the owner into believing that he wants to buy the stolen paintings. The Leverage team is skeptical of Harry and his motives, but they are running out of options and decide to go along with his plan.
The team helps Harry prepare for his con by coaching him on his backstory and rehearsing his lines. Meanwhile, Parker sneaks into the mansion to get a better look at the security system and figure out a way to disable it.
As Harry begins his con, things start to go wrong when he realizes that the owner of the mansion is not as gullible as he initially thought. The team has to think on their feet and come up with new strategies to keep the con going and retrieve the paintings.
The episode is full of twists and turns, with each member of the team using their unique skills to contribute to the mission. Sophie uses her acting abilities to distract the mansion's owner, Eliot provides backup and muscle when things get physical, Parker disables the security system and pulls off impressive acrobatics, and Hardison uses his tech skills to hack into the mansion's system.
Overall, "The Too Many Rembrandts Job" is an exciting start to the Leverage: Redemption series, with a great balance of action, humor, and drama. The addition of Harry Wilson as a new character adds an interesting dynamic to the team, and the chemistry between the actors is as strong as ever. Fans of the original Leverage series will not be disappointed, and newcomers to the show will be quickly drawn in by the engaging characters and clever cons.
