Ep 5. Yard Sale Saturday

The episode opens with the residents of Letterkenny preparing for their annual Yard Sale Saturday. It's a big deal in town, as everyone gathers their unwanted items and sets up shop in their front yards to make some extra cash. The Hicks, Skids, and hockey players all participate, each hoping to make more money than the others.

As the day goes on, tensions rise between the different groups. The Hicks, who see themselves as the most successful and established residents of Letterkenny, look down on the Skids and their alternative lifestyle. Meanwhile, the hockey players, who usually remain neutral, get involved in the drama when they discover that a rare hockey card is being sold at one of the Skids' tables.

There are a number of subplots throughout the episode. Wayne and Rosie try to sell a seemingly endless supply of old VHS tapes, but struggle to find a buyer. Katy, who has recently moved back to Letterkenny after a stint in the city, reconnects with an old flame at the yard sale. Daryl tries to impress a woman by pretending to be interested in her vintage clothing collection, while Squirrely Dan disapproves of his friend's dishonesty.

The Skids, led by Stewart, are determined to prove themselves to the other groups. They set up a skateboarding ramp to attract customers, and when that fails, they resort to selling questionable items like stolen street signs and fireworks. Devon, a new Skid in town, suggests they switch tactics and sell handmade jewelry instead, which leads to a surprise breakthrough in sales.

The hockey players, meanwhile, come across a group of city boys who have come to Letterkenny to cause trouble. They're not interested in buying anything at the yard sale; they just want to pick a fight. The hockey players try to diffuse the situation, but tension remains between the two groups throughout the day.

As the sun starts to set, the residents of Letterkenny pack up their unsold items and head home. Although there were some tense moments throughout the day, overall Yard Sale Saturday was a success. The Skids managed to exceed their sales goals, Katy had a nice chat with her old flame, and the Hicks and hockey players gloated about their successful sales. The episode ends with everyone getting ready for a night out, looking forward to the next time they can all come together and celebrate their unique town.
