Ep 7. The Haunting of MoDean's II

Well aware of the fact that Katy is often quick to take people up on a challenge, Wayne pits her against Reilly for a friendly wrestling match. Katy wants blood, but when the match starts, there is an unexpected outcome.

Back at MoDean's II, the bar starts to show its true colors. The first sign is the portrait of MoDean himself which starts glowing, the music picks up in tempo, and the lights begin to flicker. From there, things quickly escalate as the group even hear strange noises. What was supposed to be a night out to celebrate the opening of the new bar turns into a creepy adventure.

Surprisingly, it isn't only the group that appears to be noticing strange occurrences around the bar. Riley and Jonesy, the hockey players, become haunted by a ghost too. This leads to a comically hilarious response from the group when it turns into an absurd party leading to yet another instance of bad blood between them, much like any other day.

As expected, the group tries to figure out what's going on with the bar. After all, MoDean's has been a safe haven for everyone in town, and they don't want to lose it. Overly eager to solve this mystery, Daryl and Squirrely Dan start conducting an investigation, with some convincing from Daryl that they would make great ghostbusters. On the other hand, Wayne and Katy are a bit more skeptical and go in a different direction. They take the time to investigate the history of MoDean's bar, thinking that it may have deep roots that will finally explain why the bar is haunted. However, it's at this juncture that the episode takes a turn for the worse.

The creepiest part of this episode is undoubtedly the jump-scares that keep viewers on edge. It's beautifully done, and the shots from the camera make the hallway appear much longer than it is, giving rise to a sense of eerie tension.
