Luna the Moon guides a group of three friends named Leo, Carmen, and Andy, who are traveling around the world with their parents working at the Circo Fabuloso, a family-owned traveling circus. They travel with their friend and guide, a speaking moon named Luna. The circus comes to a halt in a new location every episode, and the kids are always excited about the new sights, sounds, and cultures they discover.
In the first episode of season 3, titled "Guitar to Sitar/Spring Has Not Sprung," the gang finds itself in India. Leo is thrilled to learn that the famous musician, Ravi Shankar, is from India. Carmen, however, is annoyed with Leo's constant guitar playing and wants him to try something new. She suggests Leo trade his guitar for a sitar, a traditional Indian string instrument, but Leo is hesitant to try something new.
While Leo struggles to adjust to the sitar, Carmen and Andy team up with local kids to help them celebrate the arrival of spring by making Holi powder, a brightly colored powder used in the Hindu festival of Holi. But when they run out of ingredients, the group must race to find more before it's too late.
The episode focuses heavily on the theme of trying new things. Leo initially resists the idea of playing the sitar, but with some encouragement from his friends, he eventually gives it a shot and discovers a new passion for the instrument. Similarly, Carmen and Andy are hesitant to join in on the local celebration, but once they do, they have a blast and learn a lot about a new culture.
Overall, "Guitar to Sitar/Spring Has Not Sprung" is a fun and educational episode of Let's Go Luna! that introduces young viewers to Indian culture and encourages them to be open to new experiences.
