Ep 3. Bowen Lager

Les Norton season 1 episode 3, titled "Bowen Lager," follows the unconventional adventures of Les Norton, a former rugby player turned bouncer, as he navigates the seedy underbelly of Sydney's Kings Cross in the late 1980s.

In this episode, Les is tasked with protecting the Bowen Brewing Company's CEO, Terry Lawson, as he visits a Kings Cross nightspot to assess the potential for a new brewery. However, things quickly get out of hand when a group of bikies led by the infamous Warren "Wazza" Brewster show up and start causing trouble. Les finds himself caught in the middle of a violent feud between the bikies and the employees of the nightspot, with Terry's safety hanging in the balance.

Meanwhile, things are also heating up in Les' personal life. He receives a surprise visit from his former flame, Ros, who resurfaces after years of absence. Les is thrilled to see her again, but soon learns that Ros is not alone - she has a young daughter who she claims is Les' child. Les is understandably shocked and skeptical, and tensions between him and Ros rise as they navigate the challenges of co-parenting.

Back at the nightspot, Les finds himself in the middle of a full-blown brawl as the bikies clash with the employees. Terry is injured in the chaos, and Les must use all of his bouncer skills to protect him from harm. In the end, Les and his fellow bouncers are able to quell the violence and get Terry to safety, but not before Les takes a few hits himself.

As the episode wraps up, Les is left with a newfound sense of responsibility towards the daughter he never knew he had. And with Kings Cross as dangerous as ever, it's clear that Les will continue to find himself in the middle of some wild and unpredictable situations.
