Les is soon picked up by a group of bikies who offer him a lift to Kings Cross. Les is wary of the bikies, and for good reason - they turn out to be members of a rival gang to Doc Tyrell's, and they are not pleased to see him.

Les is thrown out of the bikie's car and left stranded in Kings Cross, one of the seediest parts of Sydney. Here, he bumps into a feisty woman named Kirsty, who is looking for her missing sister. Kirsty tells Les about her sister's disappearance and asks for his help in finding her.

Les initially refuses, but he is soon drawn into Kirsty's world when she is kidnapped by a group of gangsters who mistake her for her sister. Les tracks down Kirsty's sister, and together they come up with a plan to rescue Kirsty.

Their plan involves pretending that Les is a wealthy businessman with a valuable diamond that he wants to sell to the gangsters. Les manages to convince the gangsters to meet him, and he and Kirsty's sister manage to rescue Kirsty.

The episode ends with Les returning to Norma's place with Kirsty, where she promises to help Les clear his name with the police.
