Ep 3. Wally's License

Wally's License is the third episode of the sixth season of the classic family sitcom, Leave It to Beaver. The episode revolves around the eldest Cleaver son, Wally, and his quest for independence.

At the beginning of the episode, Wally has just turned 16 and is eager to get his driver's license. He is confident in his driving abilities and eager to prove his maturity to his parents and peers. However, his parents, June and Ward, have reservations about Wally driving on his own.

June is particularly worried, recalling the accidents and close calls she witnessed when she was younger and teenagers first learned to drive. She is also concerned about Wally being responsible enough to drive safely and obey traffic laws. He is driving too fast when he approaches a red light and, despite his effort to slam on the brakes, narrowly avoids colliding with a car that had just entered the intersection.

Shaken by the near-accident, Wally realizes the importance of driving safely and responsibly. He also realizes that he can't hide his new status as a licensed driver from his parents forever. He decides to come clean and tell them the truth.

June and Ward are initially angry and disappointed in Wally, but they eventually come around and offer him support and guidance. They make it clear that they trust him, but that trust must be earned through responsible behavior on the road.

The episode ends with Wally driving safely and confidently with his parents in the car. He has learned a valuable lesson about the importance of responsibility, and his parents have learned to trust him. The episode serves as a reminder of the challenges and opportunities that come with growing up and taking on new responsibilities.
