Wally Cleaver, Beaver's older brother, has been invited to stay at his best friend Lumpy Rutherford's home for the weekend, much to Beaver's dismay. Wally is excited for the opportunity to have some freedom away from his family and spend time with Lumpy, who he hasn't seen in a while.
Meanwhile, Beaver is left at home feeling lonely and left out. He struggles to find things to do and spends much of his time moping around the house. However, with the help of his parents and friends, Beaver discovers that there are plenty of fun activities to enjoy on his own.
As the weekend progresses, Wally starts to have second thoughts about staying at Lumpy's house. Lumpy's parents are strict and overbearing, and Wally is starting to feel suffocated. In contrast, Beaver is having a great time at home, playing with his friends and discovering new hobbies.
Eventually, Wally realizes that he misses his family and wants to come home early. With the help of Beaver and their parents, Wally is able to leave Lumpy's house and return home. The two brothers are reunited and spend a lovely Sunday afternoon enjoying each other's company.
The episode explores the relationship between siblings and the importance of family. It also touches on the theme of growing up and the challenges that come with trying to navigate new experiences and relationships. Despite the ups and downs that come with the weekend, Wally and Beaver learn that they can always rely on each other and their family for support and guidance.
