In the season 3 episode 6 of Leave It to Beaver, titled "Beaver Takes a Walk," Beaver decides to go for an adventure. However, things don't go according to plan when he gets lost and ends up in a different part of town. Meanwhile, his worried family and friends try to find him.
Beaver starts his day by wanting to go to the movies with his friend Larry. However, when they find out they don't have enough money, Beaver suggests they go on a walk instead. Larry is hesitant at first, but Beaver convinces him by promising that it will be an adventure.
As they start their walk, Beaver takes them to various places, including a vacant lot and a soda shop. Larry grows tired of walking, but Beaver tells him that they are almost at the park he wanted to show him. However, when they get to the park, they find it closed. Beaver decides they should continue walking to see what else is out there.
Beaver and Larry start walking in a different direction, but after a while, Larry decides to head home. Beaver, however, wants to continue exploring. He says goodbye to Larry and goes off on his own.
As he continues walking, Beaver realizes he doesn't really know where he is and starts to get scared. Meanwhile, his family and friends start to worry about him when he doesn't come home for dinner. They search all around the neighborhood but can't find him.
Beaver starts to get hungry and tired, and when he sees a candy store, he decides to go in and buy some candy with the little money he has left. However, he accidentally drops his money, and when he tries to pick it up, a man comes in and accuses him of stealing. Beaver protests his innocence, but the man doesn't believe him and takes him to the police station.
Meanwhile, Beaver's family has contacted the police and is searching for him. They arrive at the police station just as Beaver is being questioned. The man who accused Beaver of stealing sees Mrs. Cleaver and realizes that he made a mistake. He apologizes, and Beaver is released.
Beaver is happy to see his family, and they are relieved to have found him. However, they scold him for wandering off without telling anyone, and he promises to never do it again. The episode ends with the Cleaver family heading home, and Beaver saying that he had an adventure he will never forget.
