However, things quickly become chaotic as Beaver accidentally breaks a window and Wally has a date with his girlfriend, Julie Foster.
With no other options available, Wally and Beaver are forced to bring little Theodore along on their date. While Wally and Julie are at the movies, Beaver is left to entertain himself by exploring the theater. Eventually, the little boy becomes lost and Wally and Julie must work together to find him and bring him back home safely before their parents return.
Meanwhile, back at the house, Beaver and his friend Larry are struggling with the responsibility of caring for Theodore. They attempt to make popcorn and play games, but their efforts are futile and the boys end up making a mess of the house. As the boys try to clean up, they accidentally set the curtains on fire, causing panic to ensue.
In a frenzy, Beaver calls his friend Whitey for help, who brings along his father to put out the fire. Despite the chaos, the boys manage to clean up the house before their parents arrive. When June and Ward return home, they are surprised to find the boys have not only cared for Theodore but have also done some cleaning around the house.
