Ep 7. The Bumper Cars / The Pendulum Ride

Learn with Tiny Trucks follows the adventures of four mini trucks, each with their unique skills and abilities, as they learn about different kinds of machines and vehicles. In season 1 episode 7, titled "The Bumper Cars / The Pendulum Ride," the trucks discover two exciting amusement park rides and learn how they work.

In the first part of the episode, the trucks explore the bumper car ride. They watch as kids drive around in small electric cars, bouncing off each other and laughing. The trucks are fascinated by the cars and want to try driving them too! But before they do, they need to learn how the bumper cars work.

The first step is to examine the cars up close. The trucks take a closer look and discover that the cars have metal bars attached to them. These bars act as conductors, allowing the cars to pick up an electric charge from the floor. The trucks learn that the floor of the ride is actually an electrically charged grid, and the metal bars on the cars allow them to connect to this grid and get their power.

The next step is to test out the bumper cars for themselves. The trucks each take a turn driving a car and practicing their driving skills. They learn how to steer the car using the wheel and how to press the pedals to make it go forward or backward. They also start to understand how the cars bounce off each other when they collide.

After trying out the bumper cars, the trucks move on to the pendulum ride. This ride consists of a large swinging arm with seats attached to it. The arm swings back and forth like a pendulum while the seats spin around, giving riders a thrilling experience.

To learn how the pendulum ride works, the trucks start by examining the arm and the seats. They notice that the arm is attached to a large motor and that there are several cables running from the motor to the arm. The trucks learn that the motor is what powers the ride and that the cables are what control the swinging motion.

The trucks also examine the seats and notice that they are attached to a circular platform. This platform is connected to the arm by a set of hinges that allow it to spin around. The trucks learn that the spinning motion is caused by the tension in the cables as the arm swings back and forth.

Finally, it's time for the trucks to ride the pendulum ride. Each truck takes a turn sitting in one of the seats and experiencing the ride for themselves. They feel the rush of wind as the arm swings through the air, and they spin around and around as the ride continues.

By the end of the episode, the trucks have learned all about the bumper car and pendulum rides. They've discovered how these machines work and have even experienced them firsthand. With their new knowledge, they're ready to explore even more exciting amusement park rides in the future.
