Ep 22. Benevolence

The Law & Order season 3 episode 22 titled Benevolence follows the story of a young doctor named Lisa Ruffner who is murdered in her apartment. Finally, they catch a lucky break when one of Joel's former employees comes forward with damning information that implicates him in the murder.

With the help of this new witness, Lennie and Mike are able to gather enough evidence to arrest and charge Joel with Lisa's murder. In the trial that follows, the case against Joel is strong and convincing, and he is eventually found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.

The episode ends with Lennie and Mike feeling a sense of satisfaction and relief that justice has been served for Lisa Ruffner and her family. They reflect on the importance of their job as detectives and vow to continue fighting crime and protecting the innocent in their city.
